great guitar for the money, have owned a few Altamiras, have a cedar top dell arte etc and played many gypsy style guitars and this has a sweet tone when broken in, put on .10 gauge Nuages and your away. An ebony bridge would pull even more tone out of it. At first impressions it seemed not to have a large 'bombe'...after playing and studying the lineiage of this instrument, this actually is a truer representation of the original tone than many modern gypsy guitars, it has a lovley tone when played soft and has a ripping biting tone when played hard...rare to find.
