P-50  |  Master Series handmade parlor guitar

P-50 overview

handmade parlor guitar, solid mahogany & mahogany, satin finish

Richwood Master Series are all handmade guitars, built with the best tone wood and by the best luthiers.

The P-50 parlor model has a solid mahogany top and mahogany sides and back The tone is earthy and mid focussed. The P-50 is modelled after the famous model from the turn of the century, and has seen a revival into modern and Americana music. The very focussed tone and direct response are coupled with the very comfortable body size. The shorter scale length of 628 mm and the 12th fret neck/body joint make this P-50 extremely comfortable to play. The small body size and the somewhat wider nut of 46mm classify this as a perfect fingerstyle guitar. The low frequencies sound compressed, the mids are very present and the high frequencies are compressed as well, as a well-played instrument from the 1930’s would. The result is a guitar that will keep you inspired for years to come.

As in all Master Series guitars, we have gone to great lengths to cure the wood and be able to offer a stable instrument that matches our ideas of a perfect guitar. Every guitar is set up by our experienced luthiers just before shipping.

The technical and aesthetical advanced features include bone fittings, a double action trussrod, voluted headstock joint, cotton capped X-braces, mahogany back braces, high grade Derjung machine heads, USA D'Addario EXP16 coated phosphor bronze strings.
Parlor guitars fit perfectly in cases or gigbags for classical guitars.
